Mad Men Inspired Dr. Sketchy’s Philly Promo
Last night, I was chatting with Miss Candy Mayhem and we were discussing the fact that we have such an incredibly talented group of friends/network. Each time I work on one of these promos I reflect on that fact. I’m so happy Candy is using my services to promote the Philadelphia branch of Dr. Sketchy’s – I really enjoy the opportunity to work on the promos and the chance to work with a new photographer and/or new models each time. I absolutely LOVE it!
For the upcoming May 21st session promo, I had the pleasure of working with photos by Maria Mack Photography. I can’t recommend her enough. If you’re looking for someone to shoot your wedding or some saucy boudoir photos, she’s your gal. Super sweet, too. Who doesn’t love that? This was one of the first times while designing the promo I didn’t have to do a whole lot of Photoshop work. You can see the original photo as well as the promo below. The only thing I had to do with the photograph was to eliminate the wall art for the layout. Maria already treated the photo to make it look like it was from the 1960s – why change a good thing? Just a beautiful shot!
The models for the session (both pictured) will be Little Darling of Pinups for Pitbulls as well as the dashing Rob Paluso who I hear is quite the talent when it comes to designing and making costumes as well as formal gowns. There will also be cameo appearances by Cowboy Dave and Anita Manhattan! This is going to be a crazy good Dr. Sketchy’s Philly session! 4 models? Wow!
“Step back to an era of style, grace and men who consider 3 martinis a balanced lunch. New York City in the early 1960’s will be the backdrop for this fantastic session! Grab a cocktail, your art supplies and get ready for the swinging tunes and high fashion of a powerful Madison Avenue Ad agency.”
I can’t wait! If you would like to check out the session, you can purchase tickets at World Café Live. The session takes place on May 21st from 3-6PM. Hope to see you there!
