Happy New Year!
Goodbye, 2010! Hello, 2011!
I can’t believe it’s already the new year! There’s so much I want to do. So much I want to accomplish. I’m going to start small with one thing – blogging. Whether it be a sentence, a photo or a full on informative post, I’m going to try and blog at least once per week from this point on.
For my first post of 2011, I thought I’d share my New Year’s Eve celebration with you. I kept it low-key this year and celebrated with my fiancé, Todd, and our friend Jenn. We had a nice dinner together and spent the evening watching silly NYE broadcasts and laughing a lot. AND there were sparklers! Who doesn’t love sparklers?
Since I’m a Scottish lass, I couldn’t go without doing my “first foot” tradition. My lovely fiancé is the one who usually gets stuck with the honor… outside in the cold for a good 5 minutes before the clock strikes 12 (see pic below of him stuck outside). It’s a good laugh! We added a bit more to the bag of tricks he brought in with him this year. Instead of just the coal and spirits, we added some money. Oh, yes! We could all use a bit more, couldn’t we? Maybe 2011 will bring some riches along with it! Ha ha! We’ll see!
I hope all of you had a wonderful new year celebration! Happy 2011, everyone!
